Mobicon Systems Pty Ltd is privately owned and was established in Australia in 1994, when the Owner and Managing Director Tom Schults realised that there was a need for a more effective and economical way to handle containers in a low throughput environment.
He set out to design a container handler that could simply take a container off a truck and place it anywhere it’s needed.
The first concept Mobicon Straddle Carrier, the Two-Tower model was built in 1997, and Mobicon Systems has since received multiple awards for its innovative design from logistic and manufacturing institutions. The next model in the Mobicon product catalogue is the ECO Series, more suited to companies with a relative low container throughout.
CE Approved, Mobicon uses only top quality components, such as Bosch Rexroth Hydraulics and Deutz Engines.
Since the late 90s Mobicon Systems has moved from strength to strength providing solutions to the logistics industry all over Australia with the first international model sold in 2000. Now Mobicon Systems have machines across the globe and as of the end of 2012 Mobicon Systems are manufacturing 2 Mobicons for sale per month and this figure is steadily increasing.
Although Mobicon’s manufacturing and assembly plant is based in Brisbane, Australia, Mobicon Systems supplies equipment to clients across the globe.
