Hunter Express is expanding its Sydney footprint with a long-term commitment to AMP Capital’s new Crossroads Logistics Centre. The company joins Costco, Electrolux and WesTra among others.
Working with TM Insight, Hunter Express were able to procure the new Casula facility.
The distribution centre, which consists of a 9,955 sqm warehouse and 500 sqm office, is located at 245 Beech Road, Casula in New South Wales.
The new world-class facility will feature advanced sustainability initiatives. The building specifications incorporate solar panels, recycled rainwater, energy efficient LED lighting and an environmentally friendly wash bay for truck cleaning. These attributes will help reduce day to day operating expenses as well as support the environment.
“The location of the new facility is key to optimising our operations, as it is five minutes away from the M5 and M7 motorways. This saves each vehicle within our fleet 40 minutes per day, therefore dramatically increasing our productivity and our ability to more efficiently service our customers,” Mark Hunter, CEO, Hunter Express said.
“Crossroads Logistics Centre has proven to be a highly sought after facility for AMP Capital, with our new customers all commenting on not only ease of access and proximity to the M5 and M7 as core benefits, but also the amenity that comes along with being a neighbour to Crossroads Homemaker Centre” Luke Briscoe, Managing Director, Office & Industrial at AMP Capital said.
The facility is expected to be operational in late July 2019.
